IEEE MWSCAS 2021 - Call for Late-Breaking News Papers
View this email in your browser

Greetings from MWSCAS 2021!

Engineers and Scientists are invited to submit full Late-Breaking News Papers (four-page, two-column format) describing original work to MWSCAS 2021. Late-Breaking News Papers should cover new research in any area of Circuits and Systems. Sufficient work must have been completed to indicate the viability of the work, but by their nature, Late-Breaking News Papers typically outline new and exciting results – but may not be complete results nor have detailed comparisons to other work. Accepted Late-Breaking News Papers are full four-page papers that will be published in the IEEE Proceedings.

Papers must use the template provided via the MWSCAS 2021 submission website. Publication in IEEE Xplore is contingent on registration for the conference and presentation at the conference.

Submit Paper via the MWSCAS Submission Website
Important Dates: Late-Breaking News Papers
  • Submission deadline: 26 April 2021
  • Notification of acceptance: 24 May 2021
  • Final paper submission: 7 June 2021
Call for Papers

The IEEE International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS) is an IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Regional Flagship Conference. The 64th meeting of the MWSCAS is being hosted virtually by Michigan State University, in East Lansing, Michigan, USA, and will be technically co-hosted with Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, from 9-11 August 2021. MWSCAS 2021 decided to pivot to a fully virtual symposium to add a sense of certainty for all participants and organizers. Live presentations will be supported and managed by the convenient CONFlux Virtual Platform. MWSCAS 2021 will include oral and poster sessions, a student paper contest, keynote addresses, regular and special sessions, and tutorials presented by world experts in a wide range of circuits and systems topics.

Prospective authors are invited to submit a full paper (four-pages) describing original work through the online submission system for the conference. Papers should follow the formatting instructions given in the author’s kit on the website.

Papers will be accepted for either lecture or poster presentation. Review criteria for both lecture and poster presentation formats are identical; the presentation format will be chosen to facilitate topical session grouping and time constraints. Submissions of demos and proposals for tutorials and special sessions are also solicited. Students are encouraged to participate in the Best Student Paper Award contest.

Accepted papers will be published in the MWSCAS 2021 Proceedings subject to advance registration of at least one of the authors at the author rate. All papers published in the MWSCAS 2021 Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore

Additionally, a Special Issue will be published in the Springer Journal of Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing based on extended versions of papers presented at the conference. Other cutting-edge special issues will be streamlined for the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers (TCAS-I) and the IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems (TBioCAS) based on extended versions of symposium papers.
